[pure-silver] Re: another blank roll

Question #1.... Is this a new camera to you?

***No.

Have you had Hasselblads before?

***Only this one, but I've been using it lots for a few years.

#2.... Is anything new to you about the outfit? Body? Film Magazine? Lens
(es) ?

***Nothing new

#3...... Remove the lens for this test..... Do not proceed with the lens
mounted....
Cock the shutter, look at the little round turning thingie at the
bottom of the lens mount. ( more correctly called the
thingie that cocks the shutter in the lens. ) It should have a little
protuberance on it that should be horizontal. Push the
shutter release. The thingie should have turned, and ended up mostly vertical.
Cock shutter again and replace lens. Do not try to
replace the lens until you have cocked the shutter.....if you mess this up, you
will have jammed the lens on the camera.

***I did that and the screw looking thing rotates like it should. I guess that's good news, for that part of the system anyway.

Please comment on the status of the shutter cocking shaft ( thingie).

*** A friend close by offered to look at it Monday. He also gave me the name of a repairman (woman, actually) in Virginia I can ship too. Ugh! I hate to ship. I'd rather carry the baby up. Anyway, it's Ground Glass in Harrisonburg, Va. Ever heard of them? I was hoping for a quick fix at home. I can't remember anything "happening" that would have hurt the lens or camera. Maybe it just happens. I don't know.

Thanks for answering!

Janet
