I've been having a hard time finding good plexiglass lately. My
usual source, Lone Star Glass in Houston, sold me two flawed pieces
on Friday. they come with paper stuck to them, and you can't really
check them without pulling the paper off and exposing the plexi to
damage on the way home, so I don't. But when I got home and peeled
it off, I could see it. One of them actually had a black dot
embedded in the plexiglass! Sort of floating between the two
surfaces. I was able to use the pieces by carefully positioning the
flaws so they would not show too much. But I wonder if anybody
knows of a mailorder source of reliably good plexiglass.
