        Nobody else seems to know so I'll give an answer. I use an older colour 
densitometer for film. Mine is a Macbeth 504. If the unit can do transmission 
it should be fine for film. Reflective for paper. My understanding is some of 
the alt or stain people need UV capable units. So you might want to check 
that.
