I did some searching on the web and found the protocol for using sodium
carbonate as a washing aid.
1. Wash the prints for 10 minutes.
2. Soak the prints for 10 minutes with frequent agitation in a 1%
solution of sodium carbonate.
3. Wash the prints for an additional 5 minutes.
