Marty, you could have the elements of the lens coated, but you might be
disappointed. These older uncoated lenses have a unique quality created by
the flair.
A compendium lens shade can reduce the effect of flare, and improve
contrast.
Most old lenses I have used usually suffered from dirty surfaces, and were
much improved after an internal cleaning.

Subject: [pure-silver] Uncoated lenses
I want to use an old f/6.3 uncoated Tessar from a 9 X 14 ICA folding camera.
Is there a filter I can use that will simulate the effect of a coated lens?
Marty
