I was really on the verge of losing it last week. I try to be helpful
when I can. This guy couldn't understand why the fixer he was making
kept turning milky. He was making up a solution of hypo, sulfite and
metabisulfite. Now this mixture is already acidic, but to this he was
then adding a concentrated hardening solution containing acetic acid. I
told him that what he was seeing was a classic example of sulfurization.
"No, No!", this other guy butts in, "What you are seeing is aluminum
precipitating out of solution. The pH of the mixture is TOO HIGH."
Every time I would explain again this ass would butt in again.

Not only is he full of himself, he's full of something else too. Most
strobe tubes used in a studio environment are coated with a UV
inhibitor. You can order them without at an extra cost. You can't name a
mainstream BW film that was made in the last 30 years that I haven't
shot with, and I have never experienced what this guy is talking about.
You read some of the silliest things on the internet.
