I'm not turning out grand work, so this isn't a female Ansel Adams speaking... except sometimes. Very occasionally. I find I do my best work with 35mm. I keep trying to make MF work as spectacularly as I see it work for others, but it's just not working that way for me. I think it depends on the type of photography you do, for one thing. I like to shoot people doing. That doesn't lend itself well to a heavy camera on a heavy tripod - for me. But I keep trying to make it work. Don't ask why - maybe because I think it's "supposed to" or maybe because I've spent the money on an expensive camera and expensive lenses.

If I shot landscapes or such, I guess I'd prefer MF. My hands are not big and strong, and handheld just doesn't work for me. I have a Hasselblad and a couple Nikons. I like my oldest Nikon the best.

I do see a big difference when I enlarge something to 11x14.

Even my 35mm negs look better and I haven't fully figured that out. I have some 35mm negatives that bring (happy) tears to my eyes.

Just my 2 cents worth, and my answer surely isn't the common one - I'd guess.
