many County and City codes prohibit the long term use of a cargotainer on
property zoned for residential.


What about if you put siding on it, a window, and a planterbox
overflowing with geraniums and petunias - a twee little gardening
shed look.

In Europe container buildings are pretty standard - you buy it
preconverted, they come and drop it on your concrete pad, and plug it into the power and utilities. 

Ah, heck with it.  Arguing with building inspectors and zoning
commissions isn't worth it ...
