Perhaps this is what is being sought?
Note that negatives themselves weren't mentioned - just
equipment. I may sometime try a Swiffer on a neg, though
I usually end up cleaning negs with Edwal Anti-Stat or PEC
cleaner.

I thought there was a recent post of using the swifer product on negatives.
After a quick search of the archives I could not find that post. Am I
imaging things or did such a post exist?

For dusting enlargers, film holders etc.
I have found these things work superbly:
http://www.swiffer.com/swiffer/en_US/duster.do
Available at Costco.
Plain-old discount store micro-fibre rags/towels
are also good at removing dust, but they don't get
into the cracks as well as the swiffers.
[The swiffer floor sweeper product is close to
worthless - push a microfibre rag around with
mop]
