Hi,
Yes, the story is corroborated by the Jewish employees of Leitz who were
given Leicas and sent to foreign company postings outside Germany.
Cheers,
Bogdan

Hi,
I'd just like to point out that the story may have officially come out
of the closet because of a book that has been published (about time,
too) but the story of Leitz getting its Jewish employees out of Germany
has been going around for years and years. And the story has been in
the public domain for years on camera groups, LUG, IDCC, amongst others.
Glad to hear that the story is finally getting the wider attention that
it deserves.
Cheers,
Bogdan

Is the story considered corroborated? I could see how it might fall into
urban myth territory. So I'm just wondering if there are other sources...
