Edward, that probably explains why my emails to you (about the bike fitting page at bsn not being functional) were not answered!! 4 spams/sec is a lot of stuff to sort through!

SPAM? What's that? :-)
--- We NEVER get less than 300k SPAMS per day to our BSN mailer (that's around
4 SPAMs per SECOND!)--- and I'm not counting the mail gates we operate or host.
Most of the mails get rejected since they are for some_invented_name@xxxxxxx,
have busted protocols etc. but still.... large bits of it seem to be coming
from zombied PCs using mainstream services many of which are on the black lists
(like German Telekom) but not realistic to refuse connections from..
Its not without impact.. Just the mail logs are VERY LARGE.
Its not just SPAM... Want to know how many attemped SSH intrusions I see
per minute? And most are from Asia (especially PR-China)!
And I see a lot of silly break-kits from Latin America..
And what do they all want to do? SPAM or distribute filth. or both..

I'm very much reminded of the story of the Golem of Prague.
