There is no visible or measurable density loss in shadows due to
film-strength fixer (acid or alkaline) for up to 4 minutes of fixing time.
In highlights it takes more than 8 minutes. Fixing of RC papers in
film-strength fixer is complete in less than 30 seconds but potentially
uneven. One minute in this fixer is complete, even and without any density
loss in highlights or shadows.
