Things are different in Sicily.  I think the postal
service keeps 100% of the duties you pay them!  You
are supposed to be able to send gifts to relatives in
Italy valued at less than 45 euro without duty but it
doesn't seem to happen that way. 

I think the duty on digital cameras and accessories is
less than the duty on film cameras.  

There are a lot of artists/students in Florence (or at
least there were in '87-'88 when I lived there) 
Surely there is a store there that would have 4x5
enlargers for sale.
