The other great chuckle about living in the UK is that
the Royal Mail screws you for "customs clearance
charges". These can be more than the price of the
product! It's all a part of the great rip-off, I'm afraid...

Canada Post does this too, but it's only a $5 charge so it's not too bad. It's a little heavy on inexpensive things, though. Luckily, items valued at under $25 Canadian are sent through tax-free and fee-free.
