[pure-silver] Preserving Glycin

I've just thrown out another 75gms of coffee colored
glycin and was wondering if anyone has found a way to
extend it's life in powdered form.  My container was
re-taped after opening and kept in black plastic bag
in a cabinet and yet went bad in a few months.
