The example of Barry Thornton that I mentioned in "Elements" is example 38. He pre-exposed the film to Zone II through a diffuser. He used the double exposure capability of the SL66. In making the print, he pre-exposed the paper too.

I could scan the two pages if you don't have access to the rather lovely book.
