I was surprised how much Selectol Soft lowers contrast, at least with Ilford MGFB papers. I've had really good success so far with this method, especially diluted 1:3. Of course it's not as good as a straight Grade 1 paper like Galerie or Bergger, but I think it's better than using a grade 0-1 VC filter with Ilford MG paper.
