[pure-silver] Re: Plastic developing tanks and IR film

Patterson tanks are what I used when I processed my IR films... the fogged ones, but I don't know if that's why. I'd be glad to know.

IR film should be processed in stainless steel tanks
to be sure."

Hummm,

Does anyone know for certain if Peterson's plastic
roll film developing tanks are IR safe?

I do know that, at least, one can NOT see through the
plastic wall with common IR devices, so I am guessing
it is at least opaque to about 950 nm but that is only
a guess.

Did they (Patterson) ever address this
problem/potential problem themselves?

Ray

BTW
Anyone know which tanks are certainly NOT safe for IR
processing?
