Your imagination is right, "Kipprhythmus" is about the same as agitation.
This just means that one kind of agitation (like 3x every 60s) gives
different results from agitation every 3s (IIRC Tetenal published times
for 3s agitation in the past).
Personally, I really don't believe the correctness of the mathematical
model behind this. It may point in the right direction, but I think there
are generalisations about the impact of different factors (like
temperature and agitation) in it that may be correct in a lot of
combinations but misleading for others. The problem is the recognize one
or the other...
