[pure-silver] Re: PDF Creator [OFFTOPIC]

OK, now could you translate that into English for those of us who buy Macs, open the box, use them, and are happy? <grin>

So can, in fact, any user of a unix variant machine--- from BSD to
and for that
matter I can easily create rich PDF (including forms and all the
magic) using
my Symbian OS cellphone (beyond everything its got a Java vm)...
Can you tell me where I can find out about that?

What? PDF creation using Java classes? Developing applets under Symbian OS?
Unix? Free/Open/Net-BSD? Distilling GDI calls into PDF?

I'll assume your interest is cell-phones? OK.. The Nokia reader, as you probably
already know, is available for Symbian:

For creating PDF using java there are several class kits available. One of
the best is probably from (my friend) Nassib Nassar http://www.etymon.com/epub.html

PDF creation from word on these phones for mail attachments should be easy to
port but given the use of a remote mail host anyway I'd suggest instead having
it converted on the server rather than the appliance--- with MB charges via
GPRS/UTMS is also much cheaper this way.
