I've been using TriX in D76 1-1 for over 40 years, its hard to beat. Not that there's anything wrong with HP5, or Neopan 400 or Agfa APX 400, or..... Both are good films. Looking at the B&H website, they have -seven- different 400-speed films in 35mm 100' bulk rolls. A recommendation I would give is the new TMAX 400 (TMY-2) (though I have not tried it in 35mm! I shoot 4x5 and 8x10) unless you prefer the traditional grain structure films.
