Dear Gene,

. My own profession is undergoing major revamping here in our state. Oh, people's teeth are still much the same and their self-neglect will never disappear, but now they have been advertised and promoted to a state of mind that is at once querulous and gullible. People on one hand demand sanctuary from their fears of toxicity ( or deliverance to some other chemical hazard as yet unimagined or unadvertised...)

I am myself in the market for a good general purpose denstist. Mine of many years standing retired recently.
Tooth brushing is boring as hell but necessary. The trick I learned for myself is to do it while playing with the computer. This requires laying a towell over the keyboard. With a little effort brushing one's teeth can be come a compusion. You will begin to carry a kit of toothbruching materials with your and disappear at odd moments to do the deed. People will think you are shooting up.
