I was hooked when my brother loaned me a Crown Graphic - which I shot several images with - hand held. I developed in trays, and did contact prints. Note that at this point, my brother had loaned me a camera that probably cost no more than a decent used 35mm camera, and my total investment was about $20 for a box of film. But then I was hooked. I upgraded my darkroom to be able to handle 4x5. - $$$ I bought a sturdy tripod to hold the camera. - $ Then my brother reclaimed his camera. Bought a decent 4x5 field camera, a couple of lenses etc. $$$$$$ But the habit started out cheap - and I am sure that you too could get yourself addicted for not too much coin. __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
