    This coming weekend I will be traveling to San Francisco and my
girlfriend and I are going to rent a 4x5 camera. If it rains, we will
settle for a 645..

Since your going to be in SF this weekend, and it will probably be wet, (the
rain here is insane right now) I would suggest going to 49 Geary (& Market)
in the one building are a number of photo gallerys (Scott Nichols, Frankel,
Koch and a new one just across the hall from Scott's)  Also across Market on
Third is SFMoMA.  I almost forgot...Shapiro Gallery at 760 Market.  Even
with the wet weather the light has been amazing!  When I walked out of work
at the De Young Museum, the Japanese tea garden next door was just glowing
(were in Golden Gate Park)  as a result I ended up doing a ride on my
motorcycle all around the city for well over an hour just looking.  Yes I
had my cameras with me...sometimes you just have to look and enjoy.
