Yeah, there might be a legal case here against them. It sounds like  
California Attorney General time. It's basically discriminatory, because if  
you're 
poor or Black or Brown and don't have a credit card or a credit history,  you 
don't get EBAY.
 
It's also longtime established case law that no merchant or individual  in 
the country can refuse legal-tender cash transactions, and that's  exactly what 
EBAY is forcing their merchants to do.
 
But their out might be that cash is acceptable for personal pick-up of  the 
items. It's a pretty phony exception, obviously designed to get them out of  
this legal pickle.
 
I suspect this restrictive policy will soon be dropped. It's really gonna  
hurt the small-time mom and pop merchants, or the part time EBAYer.
