On what planet is this true?  There is no one forcing you to use eBay
for anything at all.  There are other auction sites (Amazon) and 
free selling sites (Craigslist).  What you're really complaining about,
methinks, is that eBay is doing things in a way that does not suit you.
That's fine, don't use them.
