[pure-silver] Mystery lines?

Let's say, hypothetically, that a photog were to mix up some LPD stock solution 1:1 with water, and use only about 24 ounces in an 11x14 tray. (Obviously, this photog is confusing thriftiness with being a cheapskate.)

Then he puts several 11x14 prints thru. Near the end of the session, some of the dark, uniform areas of the prints were showing wavy, slightly higher-density lines. (These lines did not show up on earlier prints, and they vary from print to print.)

Could this be an effect of byproducts of the development process?
