[pure-silver] Re: More on Sink project

If it were just a single hole to patch it would be a no brainer Id do it with pipe. But to do it with pipe it will have to be run in a wall about 2 feet, turn a corner, and then run about four or five more feet. A hole would be required at each stud large enough to drill a whole big enough for the pipe, and maybe some room to work. If it were copper it would need to be even bigger in that you would have to have enough room to sweat the pipes. This is the type of job that normally would be roughed in before the drywall was up yet that can't happen in an existing structure. I would guess it would take at least a half dozen holes in the drywall to get it up and done with the patching, mudding and painting that goes with that.

The stainless steel hoses make a lot of sense, really for any installation. Solid could take probably more pressure than any water system is likely to produce, more that certainly should get by the homes pressure regulator.

The drain line is going to be equally fun to run around corners ect. I hope to hide most of this in cabinet type of structures that I can use as storage space, but have it where it can be easily seen and inspected from time to time without a problem. All great ideas. All well thought out and all appreciated.
