Some days it just doesn't pay to chew thru the straps. :-)

   That's pretty good.

This past weekend I decided to EI test FP4+ and XTOL. I took 4 frames
at 1/3 stop differences with about a 5 stop spread in contrast. I then
proceeded to dump all the negs into the water bath and then into the
soup and realized half way through that I have no way of knowing which
neg was shot at which exposure. Crap.

Kodak suggests dumping 4L of water and then packet A and mixing when
creating XTOL. I measured out the water and began to mix. When I was
ready to dump the last liter of water and packet B I noticed that the
container I use to dump the water into the mixing bowl had 1L of water
in it. So um, does that mean that there is 3L in the mixing bowel or 4?
Oh crap.

Last week I was souping FP4+ again and about 5 minutes into
developing I realized I never made a stop or fix bath. I quickly went
under the sink where my chemicals are and grabbed the bottle of stop and
mixed some stop and figured I do the fix with the lights on.

Not a half bad idea except the bottle I grabbed wasn't fixer, it was
selenium. CRAP!

   J
