I have a 7II outfit and don't know the metering pattern.  I rarely use the
internal meter anyway prefering to use a handheld.  Precise metering is not
all that necessary with what I do which is candid B&W shooting anyway.  I
would be much more concerned if I was shooting color or chromes.

It is fun to use but still battery dependant. I also have a Fuji GS690II
which is a lot of fun and completely manual with no meter or battery.  Its
BIG though.
