Recolections of an old New Yorker, Frederick Van Wyck, liveright inc. new York
1932. alibris
has copies, abebooks
doesnt! I thought it was the expressway guy, but what do I know? I'm just an
east west wet
back!
Possibly some relation, as he does talk about 1860-1930 New York, boss Tweed,
The five
points riots, horse racing
... All in a fairly unassuming manner, but clearly demonstrating that came
from a fairly well
heeled and powerful
New York family, and that he seemed to have some sort of a government role,
never made
exactly clear just what.
Sorry for any confusion
all the best
