The life of KBT is strongly influenced by air. If you minimize
aeration during use, and store the solution in a PET or glass bottle
with good seal, the solution will keep a lot longer than storing it in
containers of questionable seal.
The concentrate is also influenced by air but to a much lesser degree.
Besides, dilution of the toner by carryover water is another factor in
limiting the toning capacity. Also, make sure nothing other than water
is carried over to the toner. Carryover of acids and wash aid can
affect the toner.
