I also thought that after Portriga Rapid was discontinued that at least I
could take some comfort in my small stash to print for a year. No such luck.
Gray, Gray , Gray...I did find a box of Kodak Opal paper way back when I
first dug into my dad's boxes of photo stuff. It had been keep in the heat
of the garage for many years. To my surprise it printed with very little
fog. It was dated 1957. Now I found it back in '77 but still that was twenty
years old.

I have had the same experience as Richard with some old Brovira.  I have
some bought in February 1971, stored in temperate room conditions and is
still free of fog.  If it has lost some contrast then I'm not aware of it.
In those days my contrast control and record keeping were not good.

The Record-Rapid from those days has not fared well.
