As for the film: I do not think the strength of the film is a problem with the cartridges ? After all you cannot really fit 90m of film into one cartridge so you load the cartridge using a film loader and then affix the end to the spindle using some kind of sticky tape ?

Oh, I don't have any problem with the strenght of the film, I got sharp scissors! :) I've just mentioned as this is a typical attribute of movie films.



So then you can easily tear the film off the spindle?

I did it only a few times with normal films, when I've forgot to take scissors with me into the darkroom, but generally I prefer to use scissors.


Also look at it this way: sometimes you can "crease" the film when you load it onto the reels in the darkroom and then you get little half-moons from the bending. With a stronger film this is less likely to happen.

You mean the mechanical expo effect? You might be right, then this is a good point for this film. :)
