Hi Mark,
the word 'fake' conveys negative [1] connotations to me. I'd like to
suggest that the Ilford XP2 chromogenic emulsion is no fake, but is in fact
a great film. It is probably the most 'grainless' film you will put into
your B&W enlarger, and it also has has a considerably wide exposure latitude
resulting in more detail being retained in both shadows and highlights, even
on a sunny day.
