[pure-silver] Re: How long do you spend in the darkroom ?

For me it goes in spurts. I tend to go to the darkroom either to print, or to
process film. Film processing sessions tend to last about one hour, but
sometimes are longer - I was processing film last night and spent 2 hours in
the dark and processed 35 sheets of 4x5 and a handful of rolls of 35mm - which
was a big film processing session for me.

When I print, I will tend to spend 4-5 hours in the darkroom, usually working
on one or two images for that time. I find that less than that and I can't
really get into the groove and get the kind of results that I want, and much
longer and I start to lose concentration.

My guess is that I have on average 10 film processing sessions per year, and I
probably get down to the darkroom to print on average once per week, although
it can be a lot more.
