RC papers have a maximum wet time of about 10 minutes, after which the
polyethylene layers start to delaminate from the base (look at the corners).
I seriously doubt that any paper base whiteners could be washed out of the
base at all (being protected by the plastic layer on both sides), but I'm
pretty sure it couldn't be done in 10 minutes.
David Vestal (and I believe Richard Henry) reported whiteners to visibly
wash out of FB paper within an hour or so. One good reason to limit FB
washing (some residual hypo actually doing some good being another) to
optimum washing times.
