i used to use the speedotron 2400 w/s.  i found that when you have a 
couple of background lights, a hairlight, a softbox and you're
shooting K25 at f8, you can pretty well use up all those w/s.  although 
old-fogeyish, the packs are nice because you can always set up your lights 
to get all 2400 w/s into whatever combination of lights you set up.
