[pure-silver] Re: High contrast printing?

A measure of how the digital age has taken hold.
On holiday last week in Devon, I wandered into a charity shop - as you do - and saw a nice copy of Dr Rudman's book 'The Photographer's Master Printing Course'; price? 50 pence! I bought this must read book when it was first published and followed up with the authors further publications on Lith printing, so I left the book for some other lucky buyer. I now wish I'd bought the book, it may well become worth a fortune in my dotage, which actually is not very far away:-)

Thank you Richard. May I appoint you as my agent? :-)
The Toning book is now sold out both in UK and US editions and sadly there
are no plans by the publisher to reprint it (small market) so the rights
have reverted to me. So it's a case of second hand copies on Amazon now.

Harry, if you did want to pursue Lith, be aware that of my 2 lith books it
is the first one that is the 'how to do' book. The second updates the
materials, which are constantly changing of course, and introduces work from
others around the world in different genres and styles. I'm not trying to
sell to you but you can find info on www.worldoflithprinting.com
Also, you can download a new materials update (last Nov) from
www.timrudman.com It's free to my mailing list.

Incidentally, there is some imminent good news for silver printers:-) I'm
just waiting for clearance to announce it in my newsletter which hopefully
will go out today or tomorrow.
Tim

Thank you, Tim and all others for all the info. I might
have to buy the book
to get filled in on the nuances of this process.
---Harry.

As long as you are in a book buying mood you might as
well get Dr. Rudman's book on toning. Its the best available
and will suggest all sorts of interesting things to try.
