Hm. That's not what I wanted to hear, but thank you. This is the first time it has ever messed up. Again, thank you for your reply. I'll work with a little more and send it off if it continues to do this.

It makes no difference whether the winder thingy (little crank) is parked or not. It can be anywhere and it will not effect how film goes through the camera and the frame counter works. If you are truly taking pictures and winding the camera (with the back attached), and the frame counter is not advancing - you have a sick back.
