Hi,

Is this *new film* like the T-Max films, flat (tabular) grain?

I was not suggesting its a tabular grain film only that a wash aid might remove any residual stain from dyes in the film. I would be surprized if it is a tabular grain film because its so slow. Its probably a reincarnation of one of the thin-emulsion, single coated, films of the 1950's. These were fine grain due mostly to being very slow and had very good resolution and sharpness due to the thin emulsions. The drawback was that they tended to be contrasty and have a short scale. Its hard to duplicate the look of this sort of film with anything else although any of the ISO-100 tabular grain films processed in Microdol-X or Perceptol will probaby beat it for grain and resolution without the problems of contrast control or finicky exposure, and, at about double the speed. But it won't have the look.
