[pure-silver] HIE & Minolta 800si

Is anyone shooting HIE in a Minolta 800si?

I am finally getting some good shots but am irritated by the blotchyness
(is that a word?) showing in the dark areas.
Could this be due to the dimples on the pressure plate? If so what do
others do about it?
