Hi !
I've problems taming this product. It seems I can't get consistent
results mainly because of inconsistent dilution.
This week, I've met a chemist working in a lab with high viscosity
liquids. I asked him a question about a proper way to mix HC110 syrup
consistently into, say, dilution B. He told me that measuring syrups
by volume is quite impossible to do acuratelly. He told me to WHEIGHT
the concentrate for mixing it up. So simple I've not even thought
about this.
So, anyone knows for sure the density of HC 110 syrup ? Or am I
obliged to devise it myself ?
Thanks for your help !
I can't answer your question, but I can make a suggestion. I used to
measure HC110 fairly consistently using a glass syringe, the kind that
are used for animal husbandry. Slowly pull in a few more cc's than you
need. Put the needle up. Tap until all bubbles are in the top. Squeeze
out the air. Push out extra solution. If you do this for the
recommended amount, you could always then weigh this, or weigh the
syringe empty and with the syrup in. You'd then have a good idea of the
weight of the proper amount of solution. It'd also be an easy way of
weighing, i.e. weigh the syringe. This would be a fairly non-messy way
of doing it.
