[pure-silver] Re: Fuji film developers

It's hard to describe but I just don't like the negatives that it
produces. With the introduction of Xtol and its genuine increase in
sharpness and speed I consider D-76 a dinosaur.

For my own work I use either HC-110, Rodinal or most often a developer
of my own formulation.

Dislike D-76???

Why in the world would you? I wouldn't know how to cope without it
(well, with ID-11, of course). I think it's a great standard developer
and still the benchmark, balancing grain, speed and sharpness, while
optimized developers often have difficulty to reach any two.
