I've tried following this line of thinking, but I
have to admit I just like Kodak film.  I've used
Tri-X and Tmax 100 for a long time and they just
work so well for me!  Both developed in D76.

Printing is another matter though.  I really like
using Zone VI Brilliant VCIII that I buy at the
Calumet store here in San Diego.  It's made by
Ilford although only in 8x10 and 11x14.  Bigger
sizes I use Ilford MGIV fiber.  I used to use
Kodak chemistry for printing, but found I do just
as well with Ilford MG developer and rapid fixer.

I wish Ilford would offer 4x5 film in readyload
packets.  That would probably convince me to
replace Tmax 100.
