Well, my guess about the "old standard" is wrong. The camera serial
number is for a Rolleiflex Automat, second version, made from
February 1938 to March 1939. The lens dates from 1937, which is
about right since lenses were made in lots ahead of time and are
typically a year or two older than the cameras they are found in.
This camera should have the newer type of latch for the back. It
has a part which flips up and down and a sliding cover which also
retracts the latch when closed.
It should have the automatic threading feature. Thread the film
_in between_ the two bottom rollers, not over them.
That's it. I had a hard time loading film till I learned about that.
