[pure-silver] Re: Filter for Ilex Paragon Lens

DEAR DOUG,
Many moons ago, there were filter holders where the back ring was split
in
about 6 places so they would slip over the outside of the front lens ring.
They were sort of spring loaded and would stay in place. I don't know if
anyone makes them any more. You would have to check with the companies that
manufacture adaptor rings.
                CHEERS!

Subject: [pure-silver] Filter for Ilex Paragon Lens

I recently acquired an Ilex Wide Angle Paragon 270MM(?) S/N Lens for
use with a 7X17 Korona. I like the convenience of screw-on filters,
and a 67mm glass filter fits the lens; however the lens is not
threaded. I was thinking of removing the glass from a filter, then
using something like J-B Weld glue to permanently fasten the filter
holder to the lens. Then I could screw in another filter. Is this a
good solution?
Thanks, Doug Howk
