  Just catching up with this thread. I ferrotyped for years, until Kodak
stopped making single weight Polycontrast F (its heirs and successors). The
snap and sharpness of those images to my eye are unequalled.
   I never ferrotyped double weight papers, always air-dried, though I
usually used the F surface, and this was for presentation or framing prints,
though I framed and presented many glossy single weight photos, usually
dry-mounted.
   I still use my Pakomax drum drier for flattening fiber prints. If I had
another box of 500 sheets of Polymax Fine art single weight, I'd ferrotype
again. And that's my partial answer to your questions, Ray.
