Several contributors have mentioned using sulphite as a stop bath for Viradon. Just a warning: if after the sulphite bath you decide that you want to return the print to increase the degree of toning, and if you want to keep the diluted Viradon for later use, you must ensure that the print is very well rinsed of sulphite before returning it to the Viradon bath. Otherwise, the Viradon will decompose.
