DEAR ERIC,
        Nice shot and print!   
        I regret that I never photographed Hopper.  It was a social evening
and I had a (perhaps erroneous) sense of etiquette about not disturbing
celebs during social events.  I was an INTERVIEW (and Vogue) photographer,
not a paparazzi.  It would have been great to have become close enough so
that he would allow me to photograph him but it wasn't in the cards.  
        I don't know why I was concerned: Andy Warhol brought a camera
EVERYWHERE and photographed EVERYONE.  But, then again, he was Andy and I
was only Bob Kiss.

I have been printing platinum and silver images of Hopper for a client for a
number of years. It's a nice shot of him in a little bar in Taos. When I
lived there it was really beat up place and then got a face lift to a new
beer and wine retail place.
